The Federal Secretary’s Office Of Sarawak was established in 1963 shortly after the formation of Malaysia. It was bestowed with several tasks and authority. However, after operating for 19 years, it was closed on 1st June 1982. The Federal Secretary’s Office was re-instituted on 1st November 1989 and since then was placed under the Prime Minister Department.
